About us
Helping you find your way
At That Ability, we look beyond limitations and focus on each person's strengths, interests and potential. We believe everyone has their own abilities, goals and ways of enjoying life, and that these deserve to be recognised and encouraged.

Hi, I’m Aleks!
As the founder and sole support worker at That Ability, I work directly with every participant. That means consistency, trust and someone who really knows you.
I started That Ability so I could reconnect and support a community I hold so close to my heart. For almost a decade, I worked as a school teacher for students with additional needs, and throughout that time, I learnt so much from the young people I worked with. Their resilience, individuality and unique perspectives shaped my own understanding of the world and reminded me how much we can learn from one another.
Being able to support the next generation as they grow, explore their interests and find their place in the world is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
Hi, I’m Nikki!
I’m the person behind the scenes at That Ability, helping to keep everything running smoothly. I’m often the first point of contact for families and young adults, whether it’s answering questions, making connections or helping you get started. I’m here to make the process feel welcoming, straightforward and personal from the very beginning.

Frequently asked questions
A few of the things people ask us most. If yours isn’t here, we’d love to hear from you.
I studied Primary Education through the Australian Catholic University where I took a number of inclusive education units. This then led me to work in schools for students with additional needs for almost a decade!
Prior to this, I spent around three years working in support where I assisted in one-to-one services, group homes, recreational activities, school holiday support and a number of other assistive services.
In addition, I hold a current Working with Children Check and a valid First Aid and CPR qualification.
